LEADS – Large-scale elastic architecture for Data as a Service
Focus: Investigating a novel approach based on a Data as a Service model for the real-time processing of private and public data that is economically viable and technically feasible even for small businesses. Developing means for gathering and storing publicly available data and providing a platform that facilities real-time data processing. LEADS will operate on a collection of micro-clouds, independent and geographically distributed.

Impact: Enriching public data with private data, maintained and queried in a privacy-preserving manner on behalf of the client application. Facilitating the design of new data-driven services, simplifying their development by providing an open interface. Reducing costs so that SMEs can also develop and operate such services.
