EUBra-BIGSEA - Europe-Brazil Collaboration of BIG Data Scientific Research through Cloud-Centric Applications

EUBra-BIGSEA is developing a QoS architecture that will predict resource consumption of Big Data Analytics applications in order to pre-allocate and dynamically adjust virtualized infrastructures. EUBra-BIGSEA will leverage mixed horizontal and vertical elasticity on hybrid container and VM infrastructures to support a rich Data Analytic framework powered by OPHIDIA, COMPSs and Spark, which will be enriched with these capabilities.

SecureCloud addresses the confidentiality, integrity and availability of applications executed in the cloud. The main problem that we face is how to ensure the confidentiality of data while being processed. Our approach is based on upcoming hardware extensions of commodity CPUs.

RAPID - Heterogeneous Secure Multi-level Remote Acceleration Service for Low-Power Integrated Systems and Devices

RAPID proposes, for the first time, a secure unified model where almost any device or infrastructure, ranging from smartphone, notebook, laptop and desktop to private and public cloud can operate as an accelerated entity and/or as an accelerator serving other less powerful devices in a secure way. At the same time, RAPID offers a registration mechanism, which permits the accelerated entities to automatically find and connect to nearby accelerators with the required resources.

SeaClouds - Seamless adaptive multi-cloud management of service-based applications

SeaClouds is a novel open source framework that performs Seamless Adaptive Multi-cloud Management of Service-based applications.

This cloud´s standard-based framework consist on an Application Management System over Clouds (AMSoC) which makes more efficient the design, development, planning and management of complex business applications across multiple and heterogeneous clouds, something unfeasible hitherto.

openModeller

openModeller provides a flexible, robust, cross-platform environment to carry out ecological niche modeling experiments. It is comprised of a single framework written in C++ allowing multipe interfaces on top of it, such as command line programs, Desktop interface, Web interface and Web Service interface.

MODAClouds

MODAClouds will provide methods, a decision support system (DSS) and an open source IDE and run-time environment for the high-level design, early prototyping, semi-automatic code generation, and automatic deployment of applications on multi-Clouds with
guaranteed quality of services.
