MIDAS - Model and Inference-driven - automated testing of service architectures
Focus: Implementing an integrated framework for the automation and intelligent management of service oriented architecture testing. The framework is available as a Platform as a Service solution on a cloud infrastructure. It supports main testing domains (functional, interactional, fault tolerance, security and usage-based testing). MIDAS will advance the state of the art in areas such as model-based testing, model checking of choreographies for sound interaction test scenarios, fuzzing for security testing, usage-based testing, probabilistic inference reasoning about test evaluation and scheduling.
Use cases: Healthcare and supply chain management

Impact: Estimating the optimisation of current maintenance and management costs. Defining new business models for testable services, service architecture delivery and distributing advanced SOA testing facilities through new channels. Ensuring the general availability of rigorous, sound, powerful, cost-effective automated testing processes and tools. Enabling providers to deliver their SOA production environment with integrated service test facilities.
