EUBra-BIGSEA is developing a QoS architecture that will predict resource consumption of Big Data Analytics applications in order to pre-allocate and dynamically adjust virtualized infrastructures. EUBra-BIGSEA will leverage mixed horizontal and vertical elasticity on hybrid container and VM infrastructures to support a rich Data Analytic framework powered by OPHIDIA, COMPSs and Spark, which will be enriched with these capabilities.
BigClouT project makes use of today’s three key technologic enablers, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing and big data, for the objective of increasing the efficiency in using urban infrastructure, economic and natural resources shared by the increasing population. BigClouT will offer an analytic mind to the city by creating distributed intelligence that can be implanted throughout the whole city network.
CloudSocket BPaaS product enables organizations manage their business processes over multiple clouds by defining, deploying and executing corresponding self-adaptive workflows previously designed (by Cloudsocket BPaaS service or other design services/tools).
The CYCLONE solution facilitates the deployment, management, and use of complex, multi-cloud applications, as well as enhancing the end-to-end security of those applications.
Enabling Federated Cloud Networking.
LightKone will develop a scientifically sound and industrially validated model for doing general-purpose computation on edge networks.
DECIDE aims to provide a new generation of multi-cloud service-based software framework, enabling techniques and mechanisms to design, develop, and dynamically deploy multi-cloud aware applications in an ecosystem of reliable, interoperable, and legal compliant cloud services.
COEMS is a novel observer platform with supporting verification methods for software systems.
SecureCloud addresses the confidentiality, integrity and availability of applications executed in the cloud. The main problem that we face is how to ensure the confidentiality of data while being processed. Our approach is based on upcoming hardware extensions of commodity CPUs.
The RECAP project develops a radically novel concept in the provision of cloud services, where services are elastically instantiated and provisioned close to the users that actually need them via self-configurable cloud computing systems.
ACTiCLOUD promotes holistic resource management both at the rack scale and across distributed cloud sites.
The SERECA project provides an infrastructure that protects the integrity and confidentiality of applications running in untrusted cloud environments, even against malicious insiders with super-privileges. This relies on a set of facilities/tools useful to transparently leverage the new ISA extension of Intel's CPU, namely Software Guard eXtension (SGX).
COLA develops a generic set of services, MiCADO, that provide dynamic and automated resource scalability on clouds for all (or at least a very wide range of) applications.
The SUNFISH project aims to reduce management cost of private clouds owned by Public Sector bodies.
Distributed clouds are about systems that should work across multiple administrative domains, some of which may not be trusted. One currently observes a lack of interoperability between heterogeneous, often proprietary infrastructure technologies such as networking and virtualization across multiple domains, or misses a unified experience of data protection across providers. Moreover, there is a lack of provider infrastructure flexibility to enable user-control over security, either too monolithic, or failing to give access to users to low-level resources.
SeaClouds is a novel open source framework that performs Seamless Adaptive Multi-cloud Management of Service-based applications.
This cloud´s standard-based framework consist on an Application Management System over Clouds (AMSoC) which makes more efficient the design, development, planning and management of complex business applications across multiple and heterogeneous clouds, something unfeasible hitherto.
SeaClouds is a valuable tool for:
openModeller provides a flexible, robust, cross-platform environment to carry out ecological niche modeling experiments. It is comprised of a single framework written in C++ allowing multipe interfaces on top of it, such as command line programs, Desktop interface, Web interface and Web Service interface.
Six complementary experiments are being demonstrated and evaluated. Pilots are based on the following business solutions of MO-BIZZ partners: customer relationship management solutions; enterprise resource planning solutions; mobile business intelligence; mobile marketing; business collaboration and SmartGrid.
IOStack is a Software-defined Storage toolkit for Big Data on top of the OpenStack platform.
HOLA CLOUD targets all the stakeholders of the R&D domain in the field of Software, Services and Cloud computing including researchers, industrial players, related national and EU funded projects but also policy makers.
