Beta Cloud Cluster App - Start mapping your needs today
The widespread adoption of Cloud Computing in all its aspects and variants opens up a wealth of opportunities. But with a thousand flowers blooming, how easy is it to find the one for you?
CloudWATCH is here to give you a helping hand. We have developed a methodology and online service allowing any user to easily and quickly find Cloud projects and activities, providers, technology providers, and service consumers with a similar cloud characteristic profile for matchmaking and business opportunities. Here we answer your questions about the tool.
What can I do with the App?
Add your scores: Based on NIST’s cloud computing characteristics, simply rank how important each characteristic is to your project. We’ll then verify your input and get back to you when your scores have been added to the database.
Carry out an interactive cluster analysis and see where your project lies. Use the tool to analyse the cloud landscape on-demand. Select the preset NIST cloud computing characteristics of your choice, or configure an individual set of characteristics to identify clusters. You can even set a maximum cluster distance to control the size and focus of computed clusters.
View our database and see how other projects have scored themselves. Access the original scores of all projects and find out more about them.
Please add your scores to the table: Not important ------ Important ------Very important
Remember, we want to know how important these characteristics are for your project. Then, simply add your contact details and press submit. We will verify your data, include it in our database and get back to you. You’ll then be able to carry out an interactive cluster analysis and see where your project lies using our tool.
Before your scores are added to our cluster analysis tool, CloudWATCH2 representatives will validate the data to prevent tainting the base data set and degrading the quality of the data analysed. View base data.
Perform your own cluster analysis. Use the tool to analyse the cloud landscape on-demand. Select the preset NIST cloud computing characteristics of your choice, or configure an individual set of characteristics to identify clusters. You can even set a maximum cluster distance to control the size and focus of computed clusters.
Who's already using the tool?
1,841 people just like you. Europe leads with over 1,500 visitors, followed by North America and Asia.
This tool analyses detailed knowledge of the cloud computing landscape, and demonstrates how different cloud computing projects form natural clusters based on their common relationship to the defining features of cloud services using the NIST model of defining characteristics. This aspect of project clustering proves more helpful than the rather more obvious relationships based on common goals, aspirations and target audiences, which more often form the basis for project collaborations, or indeed the basis for identifying close competitors.
